AT LAST......Ms. Dr. Pepper marries Mr. Cheerwine!!
Well friends, it was a hard sale! LOL :-) But on Oct. 18th, 2003 Me and Chasity got married. What a special night it was...over 300 people got to see us share our commitment to one another. I knew marriage was something special, but not until that day did I realize how much it truely was special. We have been together now, going on 8 years and today is just as special as our first date. I guess it has to do with our friendship first and foremost. We build our relationship on trust and communication and that is something we hold very dear to us. We both owe a lot to our parents for having long lasting marriages. We hope to learn from them as we grow together in this beautiful world.
This is the church in Albemarle, NC that we got married in. It is Chasity's family church and is very sentimental to her. She grew up in this church and it was important to me, to make sure she could be married in the church that she has so many memories in. Shortly after our marriage, they tore the Church down due to the hospital's growth next door. They made a parking lot where the church once sat. They have built a super nice church next to the local high school and I am sure many great memories will be made their as well.
This is Dennis Vinyards in Albemarle, NC. WOW...if you like wine, this is worth the drive. They have won countless awards for there wines and have had people drive from all over to enjoy spending time with them and tasting there many different wines. We had our rehearsal dinner here and it was first class!!! Everyone there was soooo nice and I could not thank them enough for making our family & friends feel so welcomed. I personally don't drink, however Chasity enjoys a nice glass of wine every once in a while. So when they had the toast...She drank their wine and you guessed it....I TOASTED WITH CHEERWINE!! :-) While her wine was from 1973, I liked to think of mine wine as a bubbly bottle from 2003 :-)
CHEERWINE is truly a part of my life as you can tell.
To all of our friends and family that were a part of our wedding, WE THANK YOU!!! It was just a wonderful day and we are so grateful to each of you. My CHEERWINE collecting is my passion, however my family is the most important thing in my life. They support my hobby in every way, from my long trips all over NC to visit antique shops...to just my Mom keeping her eyes out for CHEERWINE items at yard sales. It is a team effort and they seem to enjoy helping me with my love for CHEERWINE. Thank you for taking the time to enjoy my CHEERWINE stuff and letting me share who I am with you.

Well...my CHEERWINE friends!! This is our little girl, "Gracie". She played a very important part on our wedding day. We had her all dressed up in her wedding outfit and she sat at the front door of the chuch, greeting everyone as they arrived to our wedding. We had a cute sign that read "Welcome To My Mommy & Daddy's Wedding". It was so neat to see everyone smiling as they entered the church. We wanted this day to be special, not just for us, but everyone!! We tried to make it different, so everyone would not forget it. We gave gifts out to our guests as they walked in, we also had tissues for their "tears of joy" :-) And even our wedding favors were neat. Our goal was to make it a wedding that we both would love to have gone to. To this day...we still hear people talking about it and that means so much to us. To know that they shared in that with us..and enjoyed it means a lot.
After our wedding, I found out why it is custom for the husband to carry his new wife over the threshhold of the home. The reason is because she is to tired to walk in by herself!! LOL
Click the little "My Wife" icon above to see my best friend!! The song on this page was the song I played for Chasity during our wedding. The words of this song are so meaningful. No matter how someone changes over time...they will still be beautiful in their heart. So as we both grow old, there are sure to be things that change in us, however we fell in love with each other's hearts...and to us that is the most important!!
