Ms. Pac-Man is the first game in my collection. It is a true classic!!

This is a fun look at my hobby of collecting classic arcade games. Like so many kids that grew up in the 70's & 80's, some of the best times of my childhood were spent playing video games. I have so many great memories that to this day, I still get excited when I hear the sounds of a arcade. It was just a great time to be a kid back then and I guess that is why I started collecting the old arcade classics. I just never wanted to let this part of my childhood go. So slowly but surly I have started working on my childhood dream in the hopes of one day having a basement full of, not only the classic games, but all the wonderful memories that come with them. Below I have added pictures of the games in my collection so far, and a few pictures of my future arcade wish list. Come with me, as we go back to the good ole days of video games!!
My Super Mario Bros. Pinball is my latest addition to my collection, and it's also my first pinball.
This building holds so many memories for me. It was the home to our local game room called "Silver Odysey". Back then, this was the greatest place in the world to me. I bet I spent a million hours in this place just playing games and drinking my CHEERWINE. My parents could drop me off with a few dollars and they could run their errands in the mall and I was the happiest kid in the world. Now that I look back on it, they saved a ton of money not having to hire a sitter for me. They could just send me here with a few dollars and it could last me all day!! :-) Now that I am an adult, I am working hard to bring my goal of having this game room come back to life in my home.
