My CHEERWINE friends, my shoes took me a lot of places, but this is one place very special to me. It is the first place I ever bought CHEERWINE on my own. This building use to be a convenience store called "Mike's Mart", but it has since closed down and I'm not sure what ever happened to Mr. Mart?? but today Mr. Mart must have a lot of kids, because this building is now a daycare center.

As my love for CHEERWINE grew, so did I. To this day, I don't know if those burgandy bubbles had anything to do with my growth spurt, but my momma said that if I didn't stop drinking so much CHEERWINE...that my feet were not going to stop growing!! AND SHE WAS RIGHT!! I had to decide between wearing special shoes or stop drinking my CHEERWINE. Well I picked the special shoes, of course, and those shoes sure did take me places!!

My CHEERWINE gameroom is a fun place to spend time. But my friends think I am crazy for having a gameroom in my home. I have this one friend named Bubba and he thinks I need to be spending more of my time in the shrimping business. He has this dream of having some kind of shrimp restaurant one day where we would have ice cold CHEERWINE served there. Now, I'm not sure if Bubba will ever get that restaurant open, but I know one thing is for sure!! HE LOVES HIS SHRIMP LIKE I LOVE MY CHEERWINE!!!

Friends, my entire wedding was planned around CHEERWINE!! From our burgandy colors to our CHEERWINE toast, even the grooms cake was made to look like a CHEERWINE can. It was a special time in my life. From my childhood to today, the bubbly burgandy soft drink has been such a part of my life. I began collecting CHEERWINE items as just a hobby, however my hobby quickly became my passion. I enjoy searching for rare CHEERWINE oldies and love all the people I meet along the way. My wife has been so supportive of my CHEERWINE obsession, and loves seeing my face when I find something new. I feel I have to help keep the CHEERWINE history alive, and I hope you have enjoyed this fun attempt to do my part. Hello, my name is Blake, Blake Gump and I welcome you into my life as a true CHEERWINE fan. Come with me as I share with you my story of how it all started. When I was a little boy my mamma use to always say that you could tell a lot about a person by what kind of soft drink they liked. At first I did'nt know what my mamma really meant by that, but one day when me and her went to Central Lunch in Albemarle, NC I found out. She bought me my first CHEERWINE and I am here to tell you, it was like the first time I saw Jenny...LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT!!! That bottle had to be the prettiest thing I had ever seen (other than Jenny of course). And from that moment on...I always had to have my CHEERWINE. It was like me and CHEERWINE went together like peas & carrots.

Well many years had past and my feet finally stopped growing (thank goodness) and I did not have to wear those special shoes anymore. My parents told me It was time for me to become a man and they wanted to have an important talk with me!! Now my mamma talked with me all the time, but I could tell this talk was going to be different. They sat me down on my bed and before they could even get the first word out of their mouths...I knew what they were going to say!!! "Blake there is a new gameroom opening in the mall called "Silver Oddesey". I felt bad at first for taking their thunder, but I was just excited!! There was no since in them having a long conversation about a gameroom!! This building above was the old "Silver Oddesey" in the Quemby Mall. WOW, did I spend a lot of time here playing video games and drinking my CHEERWINE. I made a promise to myself, that when I got older...I would have a gameroom in my home. Now, me and Bubba had become best friends. He helped me get through my childhood heart break of losing my first girlfriend, Jenny. He taught me about shrimp, and of course, I taught him about CHEERWINE. It was only fitting that I ask him to be the best man in my wedding. Now, getting married is a big step, but I felt if anyone knew about taking big steps...it would be me since I was used to having big shoes!! As I got older, I began to run...and before long everywhere I went "I WAS RUNNING". At first my friend JENNY thought I was running to get away from the school bullies, but that's not true! I was running to get more refreshing CHEERWINE. I would run to one store...and if they were out, I would run to another...and before I knew it...I was running half way across the county just to get some CHEERWINE. But all I could think about was getting two ice cold CHEERWINES so me and Jenny could spend hours under our tree just talking, dangling, and drinking the best soft drink in the world.
