There is an Al's DIner in every small town in NC. In Salisbury, it's called the CHEERWINE diner and boy was it a happening place. Many locals would spend their Saturday nights playing the juke box and enjoying refreshing CHEERWINE with friends. Enjoy this page of CHEERWINE collectables and I hope they bring back some HAPPY memories for you.
STARRING MARK RITCHIE
Bottle openers are prized items for a soft drink collector. I love my collection of openers and to the best of my knoledge, this CHEERWINE opener was one of the very first.
This is the famous "You Pay" CHEERWINE opener. It was used when a group of friends would gather to enjoy a round of CHEERWINE. They would spin the opener, and whoever it landed on had to buy that round of soft drinks. These were a lot of fun back in those days, and I am sure I will get some stories emailed about this great classic.
CHEERWINE friends, this is one item that I would love to trade for. They were used on the outside of drink boxes, and I am sure a many of CHEERWINES were opened with this classic opener!!
These neat glasses came in a set of 4 and make a great addition to anyone's soft drink collection. Let's all enjoy a toast to the greatest soft drink in the world...CHEERWINE!!!
I would like to thank Keith from Salisbury for selling me this rare opener. I had never seen this one before and thought it made a great addition to my collection. I have heard there is a CHEERWINE opener out there that looks like an ice pick. However, I have not come accross one yet. If anyone has this one, send me a photo and I will be glad to post it for all the fellow CHEERWINE fans to enjoy!!
This opener is brand new, and was given away at the bottlers' show this past year. Next year, I hope that I am invited to hand out CHEERWINE and share my passion to all of the visitors!!
CHEERWINE drink machines sure have changed over the years. I recently purched a 1960's CHEERWINE drink machine that can be seen on the next page!
Happy Days sure are here again!!! I hope everyone is enjoying this different way of showing off my hobby of collecting. I didn't want to have a bunch of photos posted on some boring website, but rather a fun look in a way that everyone could remember CHEERWINE in a special way. HAPPY DAY'S ARE HERE AGAIN....
This is another great CHEERWINE opener I have collected. I have an extra one that I may post in the "Trading Post" in hopes of trading it with anyone that has an extra opener like the one below.
